ABC Challenge -F for Fan Brush Fail

Happy Day my sweets! Sorry I am a few days late but today we have the letter F. Boy oh Boy, have you ever had one of those days, where you envision this really great mani and then you get it on and it was a complete fail? That's what happened to me, I had this beautiful fan brush mani, with different shades of pink in mind, and then, it happened. Fail. It looks more like I had just painted my nail a single color, but, it was fun while I was trying!

For this mani I used a base of NOPI- Naturally, a really pale pink with micro shimmer from the Selena Gomez collection. (You can't even tell I used the light pink lol)

Then I used Spring Break, a really hot pink also from the Selena Gomez collection and OPI- Party in my Cabana for the brush strokes. All topped with Cult Nails- Wicked Fast.

I still really liked the color, and had this on for Valentine's Day, very color appropriate!

What do you think of my fail?

Until Next Time!

Darling Diva- Bonnie Lassie

Good Day My Sweets! I'm back, yes, hopefully for good this time, My computer is finally home<3 I wanted to say a quick thank you to those of you who give me well wishes on my last post, it means the world to me that so many of you out there had such sweet things to say.

Today I have for you, Darling Diva- Bonnie Lassie. BL is part of Carrie's St. Patricks day line and I was really excited to get the chance to review this, as I have nothing like it in my stash! So let's get to the pictures shall we?

Bonnie Lassie is described as "a clear glitter topcoat polish with holographic green glitters mixed with white glitters and white bars with a little green shimmer tossed in for good measure" This polish is SO beautiful in person.

The holographic green and iridescent glitters really are what made this polish for me.

I layered one and a half coats of BL over two coats of Revlon- Rain Forest, followed by a coat of Seche Vite.

Check out that GLITTAH! I die!

Sorry to keep this post short and sweet, I've got 3 more 12 hour work days ahead of me before I have a day off, time to catch some zzz's!

You can find Darling Diva on etsy, and keep up to date with new collection releases on facebook. Carrie really is so amazing to work with and she never ceases to amaze me with how perfect her polish is.

Make sure to stop back by for the ABC challenge on Wednesday!

Until Next Time!

ABC Challenge - Essie

Hello darlings, long time no blog. I missed last weeks challenge, which was D, so I'm starting back with the other ladies this week. I apologize for my lack of posts, this comes for two reasons, one is my computer crashed.. again. Second, ive been having a pretty rough couple of weeks at work, which has had me stressed, anxious, and not like myself. I have a really great friend to thank in helping me and giving me really great words of encouragement, I really saw a whole new light after a couple of emails. Gin, (who by the way once she hits 100 followers on her blog will be having a giveaway) is my saving grace, we've been nail mail buddies since October, and we have shared probably well over 300 emails, she really is my polish best friend:) thanks gin.
Enough sap and sorrow, onto the nails I say! Today I have for you some essie's. I looove Essie polish, the formula, the colors, the pigmentation, all pure perfection. So while shopping I saw these two colors and knew it was meant to be.
On my pointer and pinky fingers is two coats of Butler please. On my middle, ring, and thumb is two coats of Bikini so teeny. I also went back to my nail art roots. Its been so long since Ive done any nail art, I really enjoyed doing this, so for accents I made a side french leopard print. All topped with seche vite, which my bottle is now super thick and caused bubbles:(
I plan on coming back strong especially once I get my stupid laptop back. What do you think of today's mani? Make sure you check out the other wonderful ladies in the challenge!
Until next time! -Sammi

ABC Challenge- Cyance Friction

Hi and Happy Humpday!! Today starts the letter C of the Abc challenge. Before I show you all the polish, can I just tell you all how much I love our group of ladies? Someone mentioned it before but I feel like we aren't just posting, we've gotten to know eachother a little bit, which makes posting each week even better.

Today I have for you a really special polish, NerdLacquer Cyance Friction. This one is really special to me for a couple of reasons. One, it was the very first brand of indie polish I bought, and what started my addiction to Indies. Second, NerdLacquer quit making polishes for a while (for family reason's) and have become extremely HTF. Now, this has been featured on the blog once before over a year ago, but those photos don't do it justice, so I thought Ide show my love all over again.

This is two easy coats of Cyance Friction with a coat of SV. I'm so in love.

You'll notice I'm posting from my phone again, I'm having issues with my computer, and also a lot of health issues between me and my three year old, so we've had a few trips in and out of the hospital.

So what do you think of Cyance Friction? Do you own any, or own any polishes you hold close to your heart?

Until next time!

Darling Diva- Menage et Trois

Hello beauties, and let me just give a big hello to all the new faces on my side of the blog, *HIII* I'm going to get a little sappy here, but I enjoy each and every one of you and I am so glad that you enjoy what I have to show!

Today I have a beautiful polish by Darling Diva Polish called Menage et Trois. MeT is part of Carrie's Valentine collection, she describes it as "a trio of holographic glitter hexes living happily together in a lightly tinted base in the same bottle"

I layered one coat of Menage et Trois over OPI-Party in my Cabana, I really loved this combo and I think it brought out the holographic hexes really well.

This polish has so much depth and it has a GREAT formula, I have had nothing but great experiences with Darling Diva Polishes formula.

What I loved most about this polish is I didn't have to do any fishing for glitters, what you see is what you get! There was no glooping at the neck of the bottle when using either, which I find a lot with other indie brands.

Isn't Menage et Trois beautiful? Definitely a great Valentine's day polish. You can follow Darling Diva Polish on facebook to keep up to date with new collections and swatches. Don't forget to visit her etsy store either, they just hit 2,000 likes on facebook and in celebration she is offering 20% off with coupon code 2000LIKES! Bottles range from $8.00 to $12.00

What do you think of Menage et Trois? I have a few more Darling Diva Polishes to show you so make sure to stay in touch!

Until Next Time!

Tip Top Nails South Africa- Swatch & Review Part 1

Hello my sweets! Today I have a really exciting and extremely picture heavy post for you! I was recently contacted by Joan of Tip Top Nails and she offered to send me some product for review, and when I opened my package I was floored! Let's get on to the pictures shall we?

First up, Blue Meets Green.

Blue Meets Green is a beautiful saturated blue, which meets green;) My camera had a really hard time pulling the right color of this polish, even with editing it didn't come out exactly right, but it's pretty close.

For this I used two, extremely easy flowing coats followed by a coat of SV. If I had been really careful, I could have gotten away with one coat.

Isn't it beautiful? I definitely don't have any polish like this in my stash!

Next up, Red Rendezvous. Another extremely saturated polish. This is a brick/maroon red. This color made my TOP list of reds EVER.

Again, I used two easy flawless coats, followed by SV. I could have used one coat had I been careful.

This is the ONLY red in my stash that doesn't give me lobster hands. UGH I die!

Then, we have Creamy Orange. This is another one that I could not, and I mean could not get color accurate. This is much more "creamy" in real life than bright orange.

I had a really hard time taking this one off, it's such a beautiful shade of orange. I got a lot of compliments while I was wearing this.

Two flawless coats here, followed by SV.

Lastly, we have Sitting Pretty.

Sitting Pretty is a bright neon shade of pink. It's extremely saturated which made this super easy to apply, and for a neon of this shade, I had no balding, streaks and it dried shiny!

Two coats followed by SV.

Also, in my package I received Toughen Up Base Coat & Toughen Up Top Coat. I absolutely LOVE the base coat, it makes my polish stick will, with no staining, and I wore it under each of these colors (which I wore full mani's of ALL of them) I do believe I have seen a difference! Now, the top coat, well let's just say we don't get a long. I'm used to my SV which dries in no time at all, and the toughen up top coat is an extremely slow drying top coat. I'll definitely be sticking to SV.

You can follow Tip Top Nails on facebook not only does it show case polish, but there are tons of tips and contests posted all the time! At this moment I haven't found that you can order their polishes but their website is here. I am most definitely going to be contacting Joan about ordering more polish, because I am absolutely in LOVE with this brand.

What do you think of Tip Top Nails? What was your favorite of the bunch?

Stay tuned, because in a few days I'll be posting part 2 of my review which Tip Top Nails will be used as undies under some of my untried indie polishes:)

Until Next Time!

ABC Challenge- B- Bubble Tea

Hello My Sweets & Happy Humpday! Have I told you all how much I've missed blogging? I truly have and I'm so glad to say this, my computer is back and working properly!! You know what that means??? I'm back to my regular posting, WAHOO!!
If you missed last week, I've entered into the ABC Challenge with an AMAZING group of ladies. Each week we post a polish associated with the letter of the alphabet we are on, this can be the brand name, the polish name, or a type of nail art.

This week I have for you, Bubble Tea by Pretty&Polished. I was lucky enough to win this during halloween from the fabulous Victoria from the Manicurator. I received one of the very first versions, so I had tons of sunken glitter. Nothing a good turn over of the bottle for about 10 minutes can't fix.

Bubble Teas inspiration came from "Bobba" Tea, or a type of tapioca bead drink. I don't know the correct term for it. BT is a gorgeous shade of mint green, with black glitters as the "beads" and loads of silver shimmer.

I used two flawless easy coats of BT with a coat of SV on top.

Bubble Tea has so much depth to it because of the way the glitters lay in the crelly base. It's really a stunning polish! I believe that this shade has been discontinued from Chelsea's shop, but you can always convo her and ask!

You can find Pretty&Polished over at her etsy Full size bottles are $9.00 and minis are $5.00. Earlier today Chelsea posted on facebook that from going forward she may not be offering mini's in all polishes. To make up for it, she is selling wonderfully scented cuticle oils and balms, as well as nail polish jewelry!

Make sure to check out all of the other wonderful ladies manicures today, and if you'de like to join in on our challenge you can contact Kimber!

Until Next Time!
