Daring Digits- 80's Hits VOL 2

Hello again, my darlings! Happy Tuesday! Are you guys ready for the second part of Daring Digits 80's Hits collection? I know I am so let's get to it!

First up is, We Are the World (1985) USA Africa, inspired by colors of the earth, green, blue and fun flowers.

Let me just tell you how in LOVE I am with this polish, it has loads of green, blue and sweet yellow flowers. This is another one that I wore as a full mani as I couldn't stand to take this off right away. The flowers came out in abundances!

I layered two smooth coats of We Are the World over two coats of China Glaze- Custom Kicks, followed by a coat of gelous. I think of all of them this had the best formula, so silky smooth and perfect.

Next u, is Walk Like an Egyptian (1986) by The Bangles, inspired by the egyptian garb, the angles they walked in!

I die! I didn't even really see the copper colored glitters in it until I put it over the white base, this is so perfect and definitely reminds me of the Egyptians, the intricate jewelry and head pieces! Perfect!!

I layered two coats of Walk Like An Egyptian over two coats of Sinful Colors- Snow Me White, followed by a coat of gelous. This was so perfect together!

Then we have, Livin' On a Prayer (1987) by inspired by his blonde hair, leather jacket and ripped jeans.

BAH! Yes, this whole collection makes me want to shout with joy! LOAP is loaded with blue, yellow and black glitters all suspended in a goodness just waiting to be layered! I think this really does scream Bon Jovi, rad, and out there!

I layered two coats of Livin' On a Prayer over two coats of Illamasqua- Rampage. I loved this combination too, and I definitely will be wearing this again.

Next, we have Faith (1988) by George Michael inspired by the music video.

I am so thrilled with this polish, it was perfect in every way. This is a white crelly base packed with black and blue glitters. This was so milky and creamy, pure heaven.

This is three coats of Faith, no undies! Followed by a coat of gelous. I liked the effect of "sandwhiching"the glitters in the base.

And last, but certainly not least, Miss You Much (1989) by Janet Jackson inspired by her video and single cover.

This is my favorite of the entire collection. This, like a lot of other indies on the market is a black and white glitter topper, but what makes this one SO different and SO special is the gold to green shifting shimmer in it. I died a little when I saw the shimmer in the bottle.

I layered two coats of Miss You Much over Zoya- Carmen, I forsee this going over just about EVERY manicure! Gorgeous!

Like I said before I really love this entire collection, Ashley really made something special and I've fallen so in love with this. Don't forget Ashley is releasing this collection today here! Make sure to grab everything you can as I forsee these going quickly!!

Which of Vol 2 are you loving?

Until Next Time!

Daring Digits- 80's Hits VOL 1

Hello sweets and Happy Monday! I hope everyone's weekend was great, I took a small break to spend time with the boys and also, to work on this seriously amazing post. You are all in for a treat, and be prepared to drool! I am sharing with you Daring Digits new spring collection called 80's Hits!

Ashley, the amazing creator behind Daring Digits had made this collection based off of the biggest hits of the 80's. She has created a 10 piece collection, the biggest hit of each year has it's own polish. How clever is that?! Today I will be showing you VOL 1 (1980-1984) Let's begin shall we?!

First up, is Call me (1980) by Blondie, inspired by her album cover.

How insanely perfect is this? I could cry, and lick my fingers at the same time. Call me is a dusty bubble gum pink, filled with loads of blue and pink glitters. This reminded me so much of cotton candy, I wore this as a full mani because I couldn't bear to take it off.

This is two coats of Call Me over two coats of Sinful Colors- Pink Forever, followed by a coat of gelous. I could have used this on it's own, I would say three coats would give you full opacity. I'm so in love with this!

Next up, is Physical (1981) by Olivia Newton John and is inspired by the awesome outfit in her video.

I die! I seriously, could die. This combination of glitters is SO unique, it has loads of purple, white, and blue hexes all mixed together into, the greatest creation ever made! While I was swatching this I kept singing the song, so great!

This is two generous coats of Physical over one coat of Illamasqua- Muse, I had so much fun layering these polishes over different shades and I think this one fit perfectly.

Then we have, I Love Rock and Roll (1982) by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, inspired by the band name and her outfit in the video.

Say whattt?! Yup, you are seeing it, an incredible mix of black and red hearts with loads of red bar glitter and black hexes. What a perfect polish for this song.

This is one and a dabbed coat of I Love Rock and Roll over two coats of China Glaze- Solar Power, followed by a coat of gelous. With this I did have to fish for the hearts a little, but I was extremely impatient and should have turned the bottle upside down but did not.

Next up is, Every Breathe You Take (1983) by The Police inspired by the single cover.

Can someone please slap me into next week? This is one hell of a polish. I had so many options for base colors, but wanted to choose something that I thought would make the blue, yellow, and red glitters stand out. Gorgeous I tell you, GORGEOUS!

This is two generous coats of Every Breathe You Take over two coats of Zoya- Arizona, followed by one coat of gelous.

Last for today is, Like A Virgin (1984) by Madonna, inspired by the innocence of white ;)

Any one else singing along with me yet? Haha, this one is KILLER. I promise you, you need this one in your life. It is the perfect mix of all white glitters you could think of poured into a bottle, to put this amazingness(I get it, that's not a word) onto your nails!

This is two generous coats of Like A Virgin over Sinful Colors- Sweet Tooth, followed by a coat of gelous. I mean it, you need this in your life.

The 80's Hits collection will be available in Daring Digits on Facebook to keep up with release and restock information and you can visit her site here as well!

Make sure to stop by tomorrow to see Vol 2 of the 80's Hits collection and to run off and get some;)

Which ones do you love? Any you plan on ordering?

Until Next Time!

Barry M- Textures!

Hello my sweets, wow and Happy Friday!! What a week this has been, I'm finally starting to feel better, so it's time for some good stuff! Today I have two of the new Barry M texture polishes to share with you and WOW, do I love them. I am really loving the texture polish craze, I think it gives a whole new look to polish, without being overdone. I now have Barry M, Zoya's Pixiedust and Milani textures! I can't seem to have enough.

First up, I have Kingsland Road, a super sweet creamy pink.

What I really love about Barry M's textures is that they don't have the "sandy" feel that the Pixiedust or LiquidSand does, it's more of a soft texture, I described it to my co-worker as "sugarcoated polish" I thought it was very fitting;)

I used three coats here, I could have easily gotten away with two!

Next up, is Ridley Road, a soft seafoam green.

Oh how I love this color, but it did NOT play well with my skin tone, I've never had a polish make my skin look so lobstery before! But I won't let that stop me from wearing this!!

Again, three coats but could have gotten away with two!

These are my first Barry M polishes and WOW I am impressed! I'll definitely be picking up more of these! Do you have any of their new texture line? I purchased mine from Ninja Polish and I really love their customer service, fast shipping, and their website!

Which is your favorite textured line that has come out? There is so many to count, but I don't doubt that I won't have one of at least each line!

Until Next Time!

ABC Challenge: I- Indie

Hello & Happy Humpday! Today we have another post for the ABC Challenge, can I just say how much I am loving this challenge? It's given me the oppertunity to get to know all the amazing ladies in our group. It really has been great.

So for today I chose Indie, I know, not very creative but I've got a cold and couldn't think of anything else, and these are from the vault, so this really shows how sick I am, ugh:( For today remember the post I showed you here? On Tip Top Nails South Africa? Well today I am showing you one of the looks I did with it.

I layered two coats of HitPolish- Punked Up Kicks over Tip Top Nails- Blue Meets Green.

WOAH I LOVED this combo. I remember wearing this for almost a week, WITH NO TIP WEAR! I love the combination of matte glitters in PUK.

I'll let the photo's do the rest of the talking. I hope you liked this, although it was short and sweet, and something I wore a while ago.
Make sure to check out the other ladies in the challenge!

Until Next Time!

Sunrise.. or sunset?

Good Morning my sweets! Today I have for you a really quick post. I did this gradient on my nails a couple of days ago and I got so many compliments that I thought I'de share.

For the gradient I used all China Glaze, base is Lemon Fizz, the gradient I used Snap My Dragon, and Mimosas Before Manis. I ordered the entire Advent collection, would anyone like to see swatches of any specific color? A couple of people told me this looked like a sunset/sunrise:)

On top of the gradient I used two coats of Northern Lights Top Coat. LOVE that stuff!

What do you think of my gradients? I'de love to see your gradients!

Until Next Time!

Pahlish- Tragedy At Hand

Bleh! Monday all over again- Not my cup of tea. But I will however, start your week off with a pretty amazing polish! Pahlish- Tragedy At Hand

Tragedy At Hand is a gorgeous pastel violet shimmer base with loads shimmer, green and black matte hexes, thrown around with some black and green matte squares. If you know me by know, I love anything that is a different shaped glitter. Hearts, squares, flowers, you name it, I love it!

This was my very first Pahlish polish (I LOVE their name!!) I purchased it from Llarowe with a few other gorgeous shades, and let me tell you, I am so impressed I can't wait to order more!!

Shown here I have 3 thin coats of Tragedy At Hand followed with a coat of gelous and a coat of Seche Vite.

This was a dream to work with, I am so happy that this has become a part of my overgrowing stash. This could easily be layered over another purple, maybe even a black, to use less coats. Three was perfect for opacity.

You can purchase Pahlish from Llarowe, or directly from their etsy store!

What do you think of Tragedy At Hand? Gorgeous Right?

Until Next Time!

Polish Addict- 80's Baby

Hello & Happy Sunday! The weekend went by far too quickly. Anybody do anything fun? I spent time with the boys and that is good enough for me<3 Today I am going to be showing you a pretty amazing polish made by my friend Laura at Polish Addict.

80's baby is an insanely packed glitter topper full of "matte neon glitters in various shapes and sizes"

This had a GREAT formula, I was so impressed, I had to do no digging or fishing for glitters and had smooth coats unlike a lot of other glitter tops I've used.

Laura is such a sweetheart, and I've had great joy in getting to know her and I just recently purchased lots of goodies from her shop, including some FAB smelling cuticle oil, cucumber melon is the bomb.com.

I layered two coats of 80's baby over two coats of China Glaze- Egniting Love. PERFECT match for eachother. The orange neon in EL didn't let the orange glitters in 80's baby a chance to play, but they were definitely there in full!

I just spoke with Laura a couple of days ago and she has something really awesome coming to her shop that I am really excited for! So make sure to keep in touch with her on facebook along with her IG @polish_addict_34 and also my facebook and IG @glitznglammerxx to keep updated on what's coming!

Make sure to check out Laura's shop as well, she just listed some of her spring collection and NEW CUTICLE OILS:)

Until Next Time!
