Review- A.S.P Nail Whitening Paste

Good Evening My Sweets! Before I go any further I do want to warn you that there are *STAINED AND NAKED* nails coming up. I wanted to do a review on a nail whitening paste I recently purchased, especially after the staining I got from wearing Sinful Colors- Unicorn as undies.

I know that there are a ton of different methods to whitening nails, there is tooth paste (Anutka has a great tutorial
here, denture tablets, baking soda, some people say lemon juice? I found this paste at Sally's for $3.99 ($3.49 after my club card) and had a $5.00 off coupon so I thought, What the heck? So I started out, the packaging says to wet the brush, and put the paste on. Simple.

Then it said to scrub the nail, and pretty much you would start to see results. Well, I scrubbed, and scrubbed... and scrubbed some more...

Scrub..Scrub... cuticles are hurting from scrubbing... when I thought I was finally getting somewhere, I rinsed it off. I was not happy with the results. I felt like, for a product that was meant for "nail whitening" it would.. well you know, whiten my nails! It claims to whiten and take away stains. Not this time my friends.. not this time.

It did take away the stains from a pesky heart glitter from a polish I will have up in a few days. Would I recommend this? No, however, I don't have naked nails enough to "mind" that they are stained.

I hope this helped a little, I plan to do more reviews like this in the future if you liked it! Thoughts? Have you tried a whitening method? If so, tell me what you did! I'de love to give it a try!

Until Next Time!

  1. Wow those are some stained nails!! Sorry about this paste isn't working out but maybe you should look into a different base coat? I found Cult Nails to be the best out of all others I tried.

  2. It's too bad these didn't work! My nails are much less stained than they used to be though. I'm not sure what did it though, but I always make sure to use base coat even when swatching.

  3. They look less stained then the first photo. Mine are stained too. Its not a good luck and my base coat doesn't help so i paint them constantly.

  4. Stained nails are an eye sore for me so I can't stand having my nails naked. The paste is definitely not worth buying. 3.99 for little results and sore cuticles just ain't worth it.

    1. Definitely not worth it, it was really disappointing and my cuticles were a disaster!

  5. Haha! It helped discern what NOT to buy, so it's an improvement :) I don't mind having stained nails unless I am wearing something nude or nor completely opaque... No one ever sees my bare nails anyways ;)
